The OneWay Gallery in conjunction with the Waterkeeper Alliance, are pleased to bring the group exhibition “SAVE OCEAN” to the Main Exhibition Hall of the OneWay Gallery for the months of July and August.

“SAVE OCEAN” is an open call to artists from around the country. The exhibition will focus on a fresh interpretation of “coastal art”. In keeping with the tradition of the OneWay Gallery and its exhibtion of contemporary forward thinking artists, we are looking to display works that evoke a strong sense of individuality and a sense of purpose in conveying a message of conservation and the importance of coastal and ocean water protection.

The exhibition will be judged by world renowned photographer and environmental activist William Abranowicz, who is on the mast head of such publications as Conde Nast Traveler and House and Garden, and works closely with Riverkeeper and Waterkeeper Alliance in the protection of the Hudson River and other Eastern Seaboard waterways. Mr. Abranowicz also works in the fine art realm of photography, exhibiting works on an international level. He is the author of The Greek File, a beautiful poetic interpretation of everyday life in Greece.

The “SAVE OCEAN” call to artists is open to any and all artists whose work shows thoughtfulness and strong technique. Please remember that the concept of this exhibition is to convey a contemporary showcase of “coastal art” We are looking to step out of the boundries of Lighthouses and Beach Scenes and into something that speaks loudly and clearly in a new voice.
