RI Open 21The Annual Rhode Island Open historically attracts the most talented artists in Rhode Island, and this exhibition is one of the most prestigious of the year that we offer. Of the pieces accepted to the Rhode Island Open, a number of works will be singled out for cash prize awards. The Warwick Tourism, Culture and Development Department is the gracious sponsor to this year?s $200 Best in Show prize, in addition to $150, $100 and three honorable mention prizes which will be awarded at the opening reception on Friday, October 12, 2007.
The Rhode Island Open serves not only as an exhibition that represents the best Rhode Island visual art but as an important fundraiser for the Warwick Museum of Art. The Open helps support the Summer Art Camp, Museum School Classes and Workshops and allows the WMOA to continue to bring valuable cultural programs to the Warwick and Kent County area.
